The City of Los Angeles is launching a residential organics recycling program soon in compliance with California Senate Bill 1383, which allows communities to reduce the disposal of organics (food waste, food-soiled paper, and green waste) by 75% by 2025. Residents can place food waste and food-soiled paper in your green bin to be composted by the city, similar to the landscaping waste that already goes in this bin. 

As we approach the program launch, we are providing residents serviced by LA Sanitation with this free dishwasher-safe kitchen pail to any LA SAN customer residing in a single-family home, duplex, triplex, or fourplex residence. Stop by our event to receive your pail to start recycling!
