Lesly recently graduated from UCLA with double majors in Political Science and Public Affairs. At the age of 14, she joined Legacy LA’s Dream Big Youth Council, a non-profit organization based in Boyle Heights where she became a part of the Invest in Youth Coalition and advocated for the creation of the first Youth Development Department in the City of Los Angeles. Lesly’s involvement with the office began through an internship and became full-time once she graduated. Lesly enjoys spending time with her mother and 2 younger brothers, trying new restaurants around the city, and loves Mexican spicy candies.
